Autumn 2022– Of Brazilian origin, Arthur Aquino has always loved French, a language he studied in Switzerland. After training in architecture and urban planning, he made the decision, despite the reluctance of his family, to devote himself entirely to fashion, one of his great passions. Arthur Aquino dreams of learning to sew and allowing his sketches to come to life. This is how he then embarked on model making and transformed his daily life into a research laboratory on cuts, creations or even fabrics. He learned at the same time, devouring books and biographies, notably on the career of Madeleine Vionnet and the bias method, or even Alix Grès and his prestigious pleats.
In 1998, he realized his dream and began his career in Paris by collaborating with Couture and ready-to-wear houses specializing in the making of wedding dresses, cocktail dresses and evening dresses. Five years later, in 2004, he launched his own brand before moving to number 10 of the very chic and confidential rue de Saint Simon, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Arthur Aquino presents the fashion shows of his two annual collections and receives requests for more personal exceptional creations.
Her universe retains the tradition of made-to-measure with the sole objective of sublimating women, highlighting their silhouette and transcending femininity. On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, Arthur Aquino presents at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg his know-how and his unique and emblematic creations, completed by the jewels made for the artist Philippe Le Meur.
